Stony Brook Sauvignon Blanc 2023 per Case

As the only grapes that we utilise from outside of Franschhoek, our Walker Bay Sauvignon Blanc grapes were hand-picked in the early morning and then whole-bunch pressed to ensure purity of fruit. In the cellar, we allowed twelve months of lees contact in stainless steel to build texture and mouthfeel, offsetting the inherent flinty freshness of the grape. No malolactic fermentation was allowed.

TASTING NOTES

The extended lees-ageing on this wine allows for a restrained fruit profile of passion fruit and pear on the nose. While bright and fresh, the palate is remarkably full, with intense concentration, zest and richness in the finish. Our old-world-inspired Sauvignon Blanc can be enjoyed now or up to eight years from vintage.
