Backsberg Cape Ruby Port 2017

The Cape Ruby Port is crafted from carefully chosen very ripe, dark-skinned Zinfandel and full-bodied Barbera grapes, resulting in an intensely concentrated flavour profile. To achieve its exquisite balance, fermentation is paused midway by fortifying the wine with Backsberg’s renowned Sydney Back potstill brandy. Following this, it undergoes a maturation process lasting 2 to 3 years in small French oak barriques, adding layers of complexity and refinement.
