Touriga Nacional has been cultivated in South Africa since the 1970’s to mainly lift the quality of Cape Ports. It naturally found its way to the Swartland with its warmer climate that is very suited to grow Portuguese grape varieties. It was pressed to mature in a large old oak foudre for 10 months.

Tasting Notes:

The flavours are bold yet the palate is juicy and elegant. The wine has a beautiful medium body with a soft density and it has a firm tannin structure. This is a stellar example of a Touriga Nacional made to express its character and place.
